Got an E3 Card Reader? You want to downgrade but worried that the downgrader will cause your Blu-ray movie playback feature to become corrupted? Well, team E3DIY got your back! This is a new downgrader from the team that will prevent such problem from occurring.
Here is the updated steps:
- Copy "e3downgrader fix BD beta.bin" into E3 upgrader disk!
- Insert E3 Card Reader into PS3 Right-Most USB port (near BD drive).
- Jailbreak PS3 the normal way (power then eject), after few seconds, the console will auto shutdown.
- Remove E3 Card Reader from PS3, and reset console, it will now enter the Factory/Service mode.
- Continue with the rest of the normal downgrading steps (similar instructions found here--start at step #6), using the downgrader package from the download link below.
After the Power/Eject cycle with the old downgrader firmware, and most of the cloned downgrader firmwares it will continue to allow the PS3 to power-up until the full PS3 XMB menu boots-up, this was the point were the Blu-Ray Movie playback got destroyed.
With our new E3 Downgrader firmware, it cause the PS3 to switch off right away after doing the Factory/Service handshake without booting into the XMB menu, protecting the contents of your flash.
