KaKaRoTo has released the custom firmware creator. If you are running version 3.41 you can remain there. You can also create a specific CFW PUP for that version. You also have the option to update to the current firmware 3.55. It depends on your original PUP file you used. You are not able to flash a lower version than the one that you have already installed on your ps3. So if you are running 3.55 you really have no other choice for now. Further updates are included as well.
