Developer Heden is back with the second beta released of SELF/SPRX Decrypter-- a homebrew application that is used for decrypting the internal SELF/SPRX files stored on the PS3. This released includes improved file decryption and fixed a bug that caused the application to hang on some files.
Changelog for v0.6 beta:
- More stability (no hangs anymore)
- Much more files can now be decrypted
1) First, uninstall previous version
2) Install the .PKG provided in the archive.
3) Put the file you want to decrypt into :
/dev_hdd0/game/DCRY00001/USRDIR/SOURCE/
4) Launch the decrypter.
5)Get the decrypted files from :
/dev_hdd0/game/DCRY00001/USRDIR/DESTINATION/
Note: The current version decrypts only one file per launch
Make sure to have only one SELF/SPRX file in /SOURCE/ directory
"GameOS utilizes files to make the console work (I won't give details)
These files (SELF = EXE, SPRX = DLL) are stored in /dev_flash
This tool enables to decrypt these SELF/SPRX files
Such a decrypter will only help people who know what they do ;-)
The application is not yet capable to decrypt all files (coming soon !)"
