
One of our Twitter followers, @marcotai2003, just tweeted us some information about the availability of a downgrader for PIC USB devices. You can grab the HEX files below: wBTL, nBTL, and PICDEM.
Quick How-to:
1) Download and flash the PIC HEX for Factory/Service Mode file. Download link available below.
2) Download and place the Downgrader files and modified v3.41 firmware file onto a blank USB flash drive. Download link available below.
3) Plug in the PIC device into the PS3's USB port and put the PS3 into Factory/Service mode. Use the same steps used to jailbreak the PS3. In case you don't know, you can go here for the instructions. Start reading from step 3 (skip any steps that doesn't pertain to the PIC device).
4) After the PS3 is in Factory/Service Mode, follow the downgrading instructions--since we've posted a few tutorials on how to downgrade using your USB flash drive, you can go here for the instructions. Start reading from step 6.
