As mentioned a couple of days ago, a PS3 downgrader was planned for both the TI-84+ and TI-89 calculators. Today, it is out! You can know use any TI-84+ or TI-89 calculator to downgrade any PS3 running firmware v3.42 or v3.50--all thanks to developer brandonlwilson for this port.
Quick How-to:
1) Download and install the TI-84 Plus & TI-89 Titantium Factory/Service Mode file. Download link available below.
2) Download and place the Downgrader files and modified v3.41 firmware file onto a blank USB flash drive. Download link available below.
3) Plug in the calculator to the PS3's USB port. Navigate to the appropriate menu on your calculator (see official site for instructions) to put the PS3 into Factory/Service mode.
4) After the PS3 is in Factory/Service Mode, follow the downgrading instructions--since we've posted a few tutorials on how to downgrade using your USB flash drive, you can go here for the instructions. Start reading from Steps 6.

"TI-84 Plus:
PS3JB is a FLASH application for the TI-84 Plus and TI-84 Plus Silver Edition that helps to exploit the Playstation 3 console. By connecting a USB cable between a PS3 and your calculator and running the application, you can trigger the PSGroove exploit or downgrade your PS3 from your graphing calculator.
The latest version brings about a couple of changes:
- To save space, the application no longer comes with a default payload. To jailbreak the PS3 using the PSGroove exploit, you MUST use an external payload. Most people already do this anyway. You can find more information about this below or here.
- You can now downgrade the PS3 by emulating the Sony official jig stick. You can enable this in the options menu:
TI-89 Titanium:
PS3JB89 is an assembly program for the TI-89 Titanium that helps to exploit the Playstation 3 console. By connecting a USB cable between a PS3 and your calculator and running the program, you can trigger the PSGroove jailbreak exploit or downgrade your PS3's firmware version from your graphing calculator.
Version 0.02.0001 brings about the following changes:
* You can now downgrade the PS3 by emulating the official Sony jig stick:
You can enable this by selecting "Yes" for "Emulate jig?" in the options. You will also need the accompanying .self and .pup files found elsewhere on the internet; don't ask me for them or how to use them."
